London, 6 September 2021:  Chronos Sustainability (“Chronos”) has been named Winner in the Consultant/Advisor of the Year category at the inaugural Environmental Finance IMPACT Awards 2021, announced today.

According to Environmental Finance, the awards seek to recognise and reward the work of impact investors everywhere and highlight emerging pockets of best practice, across all asset classes and all geographies.

In nominating Chronos as Consultant/Advisor of the Year, the independent awards panel recognised the contribution of Chronos’ 20-strong team of sustainability specialists, who together, over the past year, have initiated, catalysed, or led a series of major global interventions on issues ranging from the zero-carbon transition to the illegal wildlife trade and corporate mental health.

Reflecting on this significant milestone for Chronos, Nicky Amos, Managing Director, Chronos Sustainability said: “When we established Chronos four years ago, we set ourselves the challenge of delivering transformative impact at scale across the sustainability spectrum. We knew that to have any hope of achieving this goal, we needed to build a world class team to help us.  Four years on, it is the strength of our global team which means our mission continues unabated and our breadth of impact deepens.”

Dr Rory Sullivan, CEO, Chronos Sustainability, said: “We believe that the finance sector holds many of the keys to unlocking sustainability outcomes to enable the healthy functioning of companies, markets, communities and governments for a more sustainable world. Our role is to find these keys and use them with a range of stakeholders to realise real-world impacts. This is a role we are relentlessly committed to and on which we will build and evolve.”

Chronos clients include the World Bank, the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC), Climate Action 100+ (CA100+), The Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), Ceres and the Transition Pathway Initiative.

This latest award represents the third Environmental Finance accolade for Chronos. In the 2020 Sustainable Investment Awards, Chronos won ESG Initiative of the Year in a joint award with Brunel Pension Partnership for “Reconfiguring the investment system for the transition to a zero-carbon future”. In 2019, Dr Rory Sullivan, CEO of Chronos, was named ESG Personality of the Year.
