CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY SPECIALIST JEMIMA JEWELL JOINS CHRONOS FROM JOHN LEWIS PARTNERSHIP
(London, 13/02/25) Chronos Sustainability (“Chronos”), the award-winning sustainability consultancy, has announced the addition of Jemima Jewell to their network of global sustainability experts as a Responsible Sourcing Specialist.
Jemima joins from the John Lewis Partnership where she led the Agriculture & Responsible Sourcing team. As the leader of a 20-person team she helped the John Lewis Partnership make and implement commitments on issues from animal welfare to deforestation and led Waitrose (as part of the John Lewis group) to be ranked by WWF as the number one retailer globally for sustainable palm oil. Before John Lewis, Jemima worked as Head of Food Business at Compassion in World Farming and at leading sustainable development NGO Forum for the Future.
Jemima will drive the development of Chronos’ work on supply chain sustainability, adding her expertise to our work in the food and manufacturing sectors in particular. She will also provide technical input and advice to Chronos’ long-standing, globally impactful programmes of work on animal welfare, corporate sustainability and environmental protection.
Nicky Amos, Co-Founder and Managing Director, Chronos Sustainability, said:
“Jemima is recognised as a leading player in responsible sourcing and ethical business practices, with a track record of driving change at scale on a national and global level. Her deep knowledge of how to deliver sustainable value and positive social outcomes at all points in the supply chain complements and expands our expertise in this key area.”
Jemima Jewell, Specialist, Responsible Sourcing, Chronos Sustainability, said:
“Complex, global supply chains are a key source of risk for companies, but also a crucial vehicle for positive impact, enhancing resilience and creating business value. I have long admired Chronos’ work across the finance, corporate and civil society sectors. Its world- leading benchmarks and coalitions - on issues from mining to farm animal welfare - make it ideally placed to help companies build and benefit from genuinely responsible supply chains. I’m delighted to be joining the Chronos network.”
