Helping Infrastructure Investors With Climate Strategy, Monitoring And Reporting
Climate change poses increasingly material risks to existing and future infrastructure projects, and in 2024 Chronos worked with a UK-based infrastructure asset manager to help it monitor and report on GHG emissions.
Chronos helped its team develop a greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory for a range of assets including renewables, fibre networks, schools and hospitals.
Chronos helped create a carbon footprint tool using proprietary data to estimate the greenhouse gas emissions of each asset, and then took on a quality assurance process and engagement with individual assets to correct estimates and fill gaps.
We also helped build capacity at the investment house to progress this inventory. This included facilitating training on how to complete the GHG questionnaire and putting tools in place for the fund managers to engage directly with portfolio assets to drive improvements on GHG emissions.
